Winter Wars 02:44
Your 3 jobs are getting harder to maintain, poor you This month’s rent is overdue Get on your hamster wheel and run until we say you’re done Yet you’ll only have enough to survive Corruption justified as fair in our eyes And our hearts are as black as the night You have no option but to just comply It’s on you that we’ll capitalize We’ve got yachts and cars and pools in five different states But I need at least five more Oh it’s hard being us, we’re so tired of fighting with the unions, they are not humans So many mouths left to deprive Wealth keeps floating up, while cruelty trickles down Corruption justified

Why don’t you speak up Tell us something that we need to know Fill the void of silence with a joke or anecdote How about that game This weather’s crazy for the month of May Engage with me in smalltalk bout my kids, who you don’t know panic attacks won’t go away Wait til you hear (the) dumb things I say Your eyes feel like fire, they burn through me now What if my words all come out wrong What if they criticize my songs Can’t assemble the words that would make more sense And unable to fake the confidence Can we leave and go home now Are people staring at me? I’m so uncomfortable The anxiety is building, I’ll just stand here by the wall Where did you go Where did you go Please save me from these talkative strangers
3.
Sitting around, been thinking about that night And the blood on the ground burned forever into my mind I’ll carry the weight of your sudden death It’s an anchor around my neck, yet I’m dispossessed C But it’s too late I can’t go back at all And my mistakes became ghosts that haunt these halls V At times I can’t believe this all is real Should’ve been you not me behind that wheel You were telling me the road is hard to see…Now …that seems a metaphor for what will be C But it’s too late I can’t go back at all And my mistakes became ghosts that haunt these halls The landscape’s gray here where your story ends Forever cold here where you took your last breath B I swear to honor your memory I feel you here watching over me I swear I’ll make you so proud of me I’ll make you proud I swear I’ll make you so proud of me I’ll make you proud C But it’s too late I can’t go back at all And my mistakes became ghosts that haunt these halls The landscape’s gray here where your story ends Forever cold here where you took your last breath

V Why’s normal so revered? What’s wrong with being weird? Be yourself, enjoy the ride you’re on Ignore the Facebook feeds Your connections’ perfect deeds You’re only shown what they want seen And it’s all exploding rainbows, puppy paws, and unicorns C (You are) You’re trying way too hard Just don’t hold on so tight (Let go) The world is outside your control Just let it be alright V You hear a subtle voice Say that happiness is a choice But you’re wound too tight to enjoy yourself You can’t stop the wind while out in it, who cares Just let it flow around you there Don’t overthink the things that come, they’ll happen either way B Enjoy all the small wins and go easy on yourself You can’t change much of what comes next and worries never help Why waste all your thoughts on moments past and future Why not be awake
5.
I don’t know why it had to be this way After all these years we’re told People mate for life But things can’t get much worse The lies and fights and tears and on and on Lifetime Quickly drifting forward A time-lapse getting faster Seasons here, then gone Forever Future Once planned now uncertain Changes for the best This too shall pass Everything ends We didn’t see the cracks becoming canyons til…it’s too late (I’m) Not gonna lie, I’m happy that you’re on your own I wish you’d disappear for good End this nightmare and move on The path ahead Is brighter now with hope and rebirth The weight is gone Renewing a sense of self worth

V1 Your life’s been too comfortable For so long, the world spun around you Spent your time staring into the mirror And while your guard was down your reflection has changed CHORUS Empire on fire Let’s throw more gasoline onto the pyre We prefer chaos over being wrong (So) we’ll dance until it all burns down V2 Who cares for the less fortunate As long as there is plenty for you Fear and hate tearing into the seams And divided we stand here fanning the flames BRIDGE Is this greatness Or just selfishness When will this end Can’t go back now As ashes reign down What will it become

about

This 6 song ep took a long time to finish. Some of it was our fault for wanting to give you the best product we could....some things were beyond our control. All that to be said, we are very proud of this collection of songs. We feel these are the best songs from the past 2 years we have written, so we bring you "Greatest Hits 2021-2023".

Be sure to check out "Everything Ends". It is an unreleased track and we think you'll love it!
